I have  a loom, which I have not used yet and have no weaving knowledge or experince.  I want to weave rugs using rug yarn I have made at a mini mill with my alpaca fiber and not sure what is best for the warp???  For some of the rugs I may want to dye the warp yarn, so that is a consideration.

Also, I can have the rug yarn made with a sisal, cotton, or wool core.  One mill said that weavers like cotton core.  Any thoughts on that??

For myself, I use cotton rug warp. Like this from halcyon yarn. http://halcyonyarn.com/products/yarn/060.html
I get it from my LYS, though, but it looks the same. It's super sturdy stuff and can take a good beating.
