okay so I am a way over achiever on this one  (usually I am a last minute girl)  and I already finished the quilt top!   Now to figure out how to quilt/embellish it!  Of course I did have a technique I really really wanted to try before the swap and I was able to match it up with one of my partners themes.

Consider my curiosity piqued. Smiley

I have a sketch done and an idea that hopefully will look ok. The good thing is that if it doesnt work, my partner has other fun themes that I know I could pull off. But I realllllly want this one to work! Grin

Well, I'm a little slow on the draw here, had to feed the chickens and get to work before I could get involved in the internet.  I always have to think on it a while, and waggonswest has given me plenty to think on.  Making up my mind might just be harder than the actual crafting.

I am thinking that Mare knew what she was doing when she matched us!  I have lots of ideas and have been sketching away, but I haven't committed to anything yet.  There are too many possibilities!!!

I can't believe how many people are already cutting and sewing!

Okay I am freaking out...I definately hope my creation takes on a life and looks good. I have only sewn a few things I would consider quilt like and thank gosh I was also placed with a beginner as I now know I am such a beginner...guess some sewing skills do not equal quilting skills LOL On another note though I just looked back at what my partner created in one of the other rounds and I can do nothing but laugh and hope like hell I can match up!!! Wink

After spending a cranky weekend second, third, and twelfth guessing myself, I finally settled on an idea (I think). Sketching out my pattern tonight.

After lots of stalking, looking at images in books and online, and checking lots of gallery images...I think I have settled on an idea. I have picked out the _____________ image I want to use for the _____________. Smiley Now I have to decide on my fabrics. Really excited!!!

I need a darning foot for my machine, I'm struggling (and my poor finger is injured) from trying to do this quilt without one! Only problem is it's a public holiday here today, so I need to wait until tomorrow to see if my local shop has one or if I need to order it online. I need more needles too, I snapped 2 already!
