I wanted to make gifts for two of my lovely girlfriends, and decided that since we always go to gigs together - and particularly Tim Minchin gigs - I would make photo albums full of memories of our nights out. I decided that the Teesha Moore style of embroidered patches would be a good look - with a black, white, silver and hot pink colour theme
Here's the two album covers:

A couple of the patches were ones I received in a recent TM patch swap, (but I have mostly saved those for when i make myself an album in the same way):
 - The black with fat grey/white music notes and silver beads, in pink boarder (bottom of bottom picture) is by Sloth
 - the white with little black music notes & pink boarder (top corner of bottom image) is by Oodelally
 - The pink with black headphones and the black with White embroidered music notes (both on same side of top image) are both by Luckdragon
The rest I made Smiley It was lovely incorporating little bits by other craftsters into my project, so a big thank you to them for contributing!

I used couching, back stitch, running stitch and over stitch, as well as adding buttons and beads to accessorise  Grin

as you can see, I just made a sort of mini-quilt, added rivits down the side then laced it too a photo album (a spiral bound one - I cut off the wire binding and used the holes that were left to lace through). I used pink leather strips to lace with, and secured the mini-quilt cover with ribbon wrapped around the original bookcover and sewn in place at the far end

Thanks for looking!

I'm always up for swapping hexies or TM patches (or anything, really!) - PM me Cheesy

Ditto! It seems as if I've been seeing Mr. Minchin around on the TV a great deal lately. He's hilarious!!!

I love the color theme you choose, and the stitching is fantastic!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
