Is that scrubbie the type that is called a tawashi? I think I have a pattern for those somewhere...

It is a tawashi. The pattern for those is so wierd but super quick. I was at a dentist's appt once making those and I was able to finish 2 while sitting in the waiting office.

(My dentist is always entertained by me because I always bring yarn and a hook to my appt. with him just to kill time. He asks when I'm making him an afghan. He keeps crocheted afghans in his office for patients who get cold while in the chair. LOL)

also, I have tried the tawashi pattern and I must be doing something incorrect...I get a weird ball...maybe I can troubleshoot it with you gals!

OOoo! Love the tawashi :0) I made my mom one of those a while ago and they are fairly quick and easy to make.  I totally forgot about that pattern. Gotta go find it again.

I recieved from Vixen72 today and was so excited when I opened my package!  It's been the highlight of this month for me.  Thank you so much Vixen72, I love what you made and they will definitely get put to good use!

First, some gorgeously colorful and cheery dish cloths.  They are both large, almost the size of a dinner plate. The flower one is my favorite.



Also, some dish cloth/dish towel holders.  I had listed these as something I would love to get as an extra, if my partner had the extra time/ability/inclination for them.  Thank you so much, these are going straight onto my oven handle!  And I like that they match the dish cloths too!  The white one has a darling flower button on it that I adore!

I always feel a little guilty when I use a swap dishcloth for the first time. I know they're made to use, but they're so pretty.

Wow! I've been busy and haven't been checking the gallery, so I'm impressed with all of the loveliness!

And, if I can find where I dumped the supplies, I may have to make my mom an over-the-stove-or-fridge-door-handle towel hanger. Somewhere, I have some dishtowels that I bought for the purpose, so I just need to make the topper. But, can I do it by 12:15 PM tomorrow? Hmmmmm....

LOL! I probably could have if I had found the supplies... and not taken a drive to find a new grocery store, and then sat in the parking lot to finish my coffee coolatta while reading a book for a book discussion group... and then getting sucked into the story... enjoying the warm sunny day with a book was wonderful! Even though I was sitting in the car in a crazy crowded parking lot   In the time that I was there, I probably could have made at least 2 towel toppers! So, I guess a gift card and a plant will be what I'll be toting to lunch... I can make the towel toppers for her birthday
