Ever wondered where the best ideas come from? Yeah me too. I was thinking maybe they came from inside our wee brains, but now I know better. They come from ideas factories just like this one of course! Hee hee! Cheesy

I've had this glass, what, top from a decanter? thing forever stuck in a drawer and not known what to do with it. The same with the little mirrors. I've had them so long they're all mottled around the edges.

I was trying out ideas for another project and this just popped into my head when I was rummaging. I eat it when things just unfold and you seem to have everything you need on hand. And especially when everything comes from one old drawer! Cheesy

Some paint and sticking later and this was born...

The back

Closer look at the wee cogs

Bits and bobs I used. I should probably take photos of the drawers too, but they're quite embarassing. And full! I'm sure there are a million projects that are lurking in the depths just waiting to be born! Cheesy

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

So that's where your ideas come from. I knew it had to be something like that!

Wonderful! The use of the decanter top is genius, cause it looks like a fancy light bulb for the "idea" factory. Smiley
