When I played roller derby everyone bought me knee socks of every variety you could think of.  I wore most of them to practice and a few during games.  For the craft challenge I decided to pull them out of the drawer, since I wasn't wearing them anymore and do something with them.  I used the socks that were mostly pink or blue to make a skirt for my 4 year old daughter.  I forgot to take a picture of the socks before I cut them, but I'm pretty sure you can imagine them with feet.  Smiley

Here is the skirt fully assembled.  I alternated the pattern of blue or pink, to keep it flowing.

This isn't a group shot of all the socks I used, since I jumped the gun and started cutting before taking a picture.  But here is one of the socks I ended up not needing, otherwise the skirt would have been way too big on Desi.

This is when I had sewn the two halves together, but hadn't connected them.

Here Desi is wearing the skirt.  I don't know why she makes this face, but I'm going to go with, she really likes the skirt, LOL.

Side view, and again her silly face.

And a back view, yes, someone gave me bunny socks.  Smiley

I had a lot of fun making this skirt, and my niece now wants a matching skirt, so I guess I'll have to use the rest of the socks to make her one as well.  Smiley

This is one of the most clever ideas I've seen in a while.  The skirt is adorable and so is your little girl.  And that face?  Look in any fashion mag and you'll see that one... I guess she feels like a supermodel  Cheesy

Oh wow - cutest skirt EVER!  I love it and your daughter is darling in it.  So clever of you to think of unused socks - just perfect with that little butterfly shirt too.  She's a doll, you're a genius!!  Cheesy
