I made me a Ghostbuster's cake! I loved making this for a sweet little boy. I especially loved the green slime.

I used piping gel, I think I got it at Michael's, and colored it lime green.

I showed my son and now he's asking me, "Is that for ME?!" and singing the Ghostbusters theme song.  He's 3.  He gives you a thumbs up and so do I Grin

I love this cake Smiley! But I'm surprised that you and your son even know what Ghost Busters is considering you both are pretty young ( you look young in your avatar pic).  That slime was a nice touch.  What flavor(s) is the cake?

Well, believe it or not, but I just turned 36. I saw Ghostbuster's in the movie theatre, and I shared all the 80's classics with my son. Wink
The cake was chocolate with a buttercream icing.

LOL Grin!  I didn't think you were a few child of the 80's.  It's good you are sharing 80's classics with your son.  My brother looked up a bunch of shows from the 70's and 80's online.  He said many to stand the test of time.  Do you remember the music video for Ghost Busters?  That's one of those songs that get stuck in your head.  Cake decorating is one of the crafts on my to learn list.

After seeing this I may be making my own birthday cake this year. Big Ghostbusters fan, if you couldn't guess. LOL! My cats are Gozer and Venkman and I named my Mom's cat Zeddmore.  Cheesy

This is EPIC.  I love it so much!  Did you stencil on the logo or did you freehand it?  It looks SO great!  Mad props to you, girlfriend!

I have a KopyKake projector at home, but you could probably use a stencil to re-create this.
