Table Cloth outfit for Craft Challenge#2

I hope I did this correcty.

I went to Value Village and found 2 table cloths.  1 was brandnew in the package - I made a shirt from it.  The other was a used tablecloth which had been washed many times - I used that for the pants.

I made the shirt from a pattern and the pants was my own design.  I have worn it to work and hope that you all like my efforts.

The pants and the shirt definitely look like they were meant to be together, and like gg05 said.....what a vision to see that table cloth as those rockin pants......what was the pattern for the shirt if you don't mind me asking.....I would love to make one.

I think you posted on mine and said that you had seen the fabric before (floral wrap dress), I wonder if you saw it at Value Village......thats where I got mine (I'm sure you're in a different city though. I'm in Indianapolis). It's pretty neat to see something that you have seen at a thrift store in another place. That really is my fav thrift store!

The shirt was made from New Look pattern#6407.  Watch out for the sleeves on the short sleeved version, they stick out like wings.  I had to ruche the sleeves for them to be normalized.

This outfit is totally cute, and the colours suit you extremely well. The finished outfit looks very professionaly finished -- I would have been way lazier and made the pants drawstring to avoid doing a zipper, so I'm very impressed! And buttons! (There's a reason I did a wrap dress....) Like I think someone else said, I really like the fabric pattern placement, as well, so that it's not two huge flower motifs on the front, overpowering -- just one focus in the front, and one in the back. Fantastic eye and planning! I definately love this outfit --I wish I was your size and lived next door so I could borrow it! This outfit seems totally versatile, as well - I could see it with a brown or tan blazer or cardigan to dress up to wear to an office, and mixing up the peices with tanks and jeans to make it even more casual. Fantastic!

Hakue, I used 2 tablecloths.  An orange one for the top and a beige with orange flowers on top for the pants.

WOW! Amazing! The pants came out fantastic and i thought you used a pattern on that!! How did you manage to do it from the pockets up? I imagine the zipper probably gave you a hard time and the pockets!
