Hi everyone! I made this for jillybeans for the IYP swap. I know she received so it's safe to post, I love how it turned out and I've been waiting excitedly to share it with you all  Cheesy.

I've always wanted to make a sampler, and I think I'll be making more! I started by tea staining some white cotton. Then I drew up some little woodland creatures based on my partners likes, and got out my stitch dictionary (Mary Thomas's Dictionary of Embroidery Stitches- love it) and stitched away for hours (like 40 of them Grin)

And here's some closeups:

And for some reason out of all the things jillybeans told me about herself for inspiration I couldn't get "woodland creatures" and her fondness of steak out of my head... so I gave Mr. Squirrel a big juicy t-bone steak to give to her  Grin.

I just love how his fuzzy tail turned out!

Thanks for looking, and as always C&C welcome  Cheesy!

That is so creative, especially the way you mixed things up.

Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun trying new stitches- the composite band stitches were a lot of fun to work up (the ones under the squirrel and deer).

I think this is fantastic. I love the sampler feel to it, and that our little forest friend, the squirrel, is such a rabid carnivore.  Cheesy
