Here is something I whipped up for my friend's birthday.  She loves Hello Kitty.   

The entire thing.   I painted the hoop purple with a paint pen and glued matching glittery ribbon along the sides.



Close up.   Everything is stitched using back stitch and satin stitch.



Close up of the bow.   I think this is my favorite part.  I like how stitching in different directions looks.
