Beginner Cardigan Knit-Along

Hi everyone!
I thought I'd say howdy and let you guys know about a knit-along!



I'm a beginner and met Gail, an experienced knitter through Ravelry.  We decided to do a knit-along on our blogs.  And of course, the more the merrier!  Now I hope this is okay, since most of the topics on this board seem to be knit-alongs WITHIN craftster.  I hope I'm not out of line here.

Hope this doesn't come off as self promotional, but basically, I want as many people as possible to join, the more the merrier right?  Gail is going to be putting plenty of work into her posts and I want as many people as possible to benefit

I just love the online community there is around sewing and knitting/crochet, it's so supportive and nice  If you think you'd like to knit along, do join us!

Hmmm.. tempting... but this does look quite complicated for a beginner ( which I still think I am, even though I've tried a few things) ... I wonder if I can handle the instructions...

i really wish i could knit along with you, however they didn't make the pattern in my size and i can't figure out the math to upsize said pattern(i am a beginner knitter ) . i am sure the ones you knit will be beautiful.  I look forward to seeing your completed work

Well, Gail is planning to do a walk through on how to figure out how to change your size.  I'm too small of a bust for it, so I have to change the pattern too.

I think it looks really hard for me too, but I am going to get all the help I need and do my best!  I'm sure with an expert's help, any beginner can make this work!

Well, we're into the knit-along!  We have a bunch of people joining in, so it’s really great! Gail has been doing tonnes of informative posts, and I’ve been putting up my newbie’s perspective, and what I’ve learned, so I really think anyone wanting to make their first cardigan will find loads of info and help
There is still time to join, as the time-frame is super loose, and people are at lots of different speeds and stages of progress.

If I can do it, being as green as I am, anyone can! It’s really exciting

And may I add, it looks awesome on you.
I still keep glancing at the instructions, but it is just too nice and summery for me to be picking up any knitting project... but the next fall approaches...
