Coconut oil and Honey hair mask/deep conditioner

I was told that microwaving coconut oil take out nutrients?? I use a cup of hot water... I love coconut oil!!!!

Wow this looks really good, I have a whole bottle of coconut oil which I mix with castor oil for my scalp - now I have another use for it!

Thanks for this!  I've started experimenting lately because my hair has been so dry and frizzy and generally unhappy.
I keep shying away from honey just because the bugs around here have been soooo bad after this crazy mild winter that we had last year. 

I guess I've gotta make some additions to my shopping list!

You can use almost any kind of oil in this manner if you're just looking for some deep-conditioning-action. Coconut oil seems to be the magic ingredient for shine though. Olive oil (which is much more cost efficient) is one option I know works great. Just be sure to wash your hair thoroughly after any of these. I don't think it works well with the no-poo method, although maybe someone more familiar can weigh in on that.

This is a wonderful tip,  thanks for sharing. My hairs are splitting and very dry, will try this to my hairs hope it works.
