So, I needed a new dress for a rockabilly theme party. This is my dress to rock around the clock with. I was going to be dancing swing all night long so I needed something that 1) moves really well and 2) is comfy.

I endend up making it out of stretch jersey. The bottom is a full cirles skirt so it has a lot of movement.

I even put in a pocket, to keep my cell and some cash, so I wouldnt need to have a purse.

 Its awesome to twirl in!

Heres a better view of the dress itself. Its a white top with red polkadots and a red skirt. It has halterneck tie straps and its gathered in the front. Its hand sewn by hand, since my sewing mashine is broken. I didnt bother heming the bottom, but its jersy so its ok.

I love it! What do you think?

I like how it flows and still flatters your curves.

Oh la la I like!!! I hope you rocked them all off the floor in that dress. It's great and that neckline is perfect for you. I bet you turned some heads that night. I like the pocket idea. Must remember that.

You look so awesome wearing it! Such a pretty and well-made dress! I love the halter top. Smiley I need to start making my own stuff like that, I can never find anything pretty in my size...handmade is way better anyway. Have fun wearing it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!! Everything about this is amazing and I can't believe you did it by hand!

Did you use a pattern or just make it up? I love the gathered top, I've been looking for a pattern for that kind of top but can't seem to find one I like.

Hope you had fun at your party. I miss having a swing dance partner. This dress looks perfect for a good lindy hop.
