Cicadas are awesome. Their gentle hiss greet summery days.

Two years ago, I waterjetted rings featuring cicada wings.

I recently found them while rummaging through old bins.

I made that term up. It means to use a water jet cutter.

I basically designed the ring on the computer, uploaded it to a water jet, and the water jet used high pressurized water to cut it from a piece of metal.

It takes less 10 minutes to cut each ring. Polishing it takes a fair bit longer.

It's a nice, quick n' easy way to make jewelry.  Cheesy
