Pearl Jam backpack

I crafted this drawstring backpack for a friend.  It was inspired by another post on Craftster which I can't find...

Black is her favorite song.  I rubber stamped the lyrics on a piece of muslin.  Time consuming, but easy.  I lined it with spider web fabric.  I couldn't find the cord I had to use for the straps, so I used the spider web fabric which I folded and top stitched.  I used grommets on the bag corners and just buttonholes on the top of the bag.

She adored it.  We work security staff in a concert pavillion, so we carry these kinds of backpacks with us to make sure we have supplies we need!  Now she has a very cool one to take when we work the Stones/Pearl Jam show in Oct!

The ink is a really dark charcoal grey, the words black when they appear are black in color.  It's a nice contrast!

Ah Kaka, yes you were!!  I looked all over craftster to find a link to your pillows, but couldn't find it.  I mentioned it was an inspiration project in my original post, but thank you so much for posting the link!  It was a wonderful idea!

bonus points for loving the best band ever! im sure the bag is cool, (cant see pics) but any association with Pearl Jam means its uber-cool no matter what lol!
