Hi there, first time poster...so, hopefully I'm in the right area!

I'm looking for a way to 'frame' a series of 3' X 2' ovals (made of plastic corrugated sign material), but I don't want to use traditional (expensive & heavy) framing materials.
What I'm hoping for is a simple, thin black material that will provide a smooth/clean seal around the entire edge. To my thinking, it doesn't need to be any more than 1/2," and that's just a rough guess.

Someone suggested a kind of plastic or rubber edging (with a slit to fit over the edge of the sign) , which kind of makes sense, but I have no idea where I would possibly find something like that.

Would greatly appreciate any suggestions!

Cheers!

You could use piping cord which is a hollow tube used for putting inside rows of stitching, if you cut a line through the tube you should be able to cover the end of the sheet with it quite easily. If that's too small you could use a garden hose painted black! If you don't need to cover the edges I would suggest using nice thick rope as a decorative frame.
