Been working a few recycled pieces!

Cork pendants made from wine corks.  I fell in love working with the cork.  Love looking at all the different textures in the cork and comparing the corks from different brands of wine.  Smiley  And had fun finding images to work with each!!

Metal zippers.  Saw this idea in a book a long time ago and finally had some pairs of zippers to give this a try.  I'm also working on some fun bracelets and necklaces using this concept.  Will post those once they are done.

Enjoy!  C & Cs always appreciated!

Thanks La Chapa and Susanab!!  Smiley  They are lots of fun to make.  While the corks are light, they do have some weight because they are mounted on a metal base.  Smiley
Though I prefer simple jewelry I'm thinking of adding some beads and a stamped metal text to them.  Smiley

Love the cork pendants! How do you slice them so neatly? Do you seal them after they're stamped? TIA!

I love the earrings and pendants both Cheesy The cork pendants would be handy if you ever dropped your necklace into a pool, pond, lake or whatever it would just float to surface hehe

All made even better by repurposing things so they dont go to the dump! Great work Cheesy

Thanks!  These are sliced off of the ends with a long blade.  Nope, I don't seal them.  I thought that would take away from the organic look of them.  My favs are the ones I've made that are stained with the wine!

Haha, that's a fun idea WO!!  Smiley

I was thinking that this would be really neat to do with a champagne cork or wine cork that had special significance...anni versary, graduation, etc.
