I finished the 4x6 Art Swap a week or two ago and this is what I made:

And here is the back:

Sorry that the pictures are a little blurry, but you get the idea. I used this tutorial to make it:

I sewed too close to the edge, so instead of a binding, I satin-stitched around the edges by hand using variegated perle cotton. I really enjoyed the ticker tape process, so I can't wait to do this for a larger project.Smiley

I like the satin stitch around the edges! Ticker tape is a really fun technique, looks great!

Thanks. I'm thinking about making a mini quilt that's made with shades of one color. I've already started a bag just for fabric pieces that are too small for anything else. Smiley

So for this technique, do you make the quilt sandwich and them sew the pieces on?  I've seen ticker tape quilts before, but am not sure how it's done . . .
