Wow, that is just too weird...

I'm trying to think what could have possibly gone wrong. The only thing I can find (I'm a digger, I like to know these types of things so I search for information) is that both USPS and Royal Mail have restrictions on magnetic materials, but only for strong magnetic stuff, as it could cause malfunctions in certain airplane equipment (like a compass!)

Magnetised materials, except those that are prohibited, should be wrapped in soft packaging at least 20mm thick.

Magnetized materials that have a magnetic field strength of 0.002 gauss or more at a distance of 7 feet from any point on the surface of the outer packaging are mailable via air transportation if properly packaged. Magnetized materials that have a field strength greater than 0.00525 gauss at 15 feet are nonmailable under any conditions.

Sorry, I'm used to citing my sources. But anyways, I HIGHLY doubt that this magnet was strong enough to still have a pull at 7 feet. If it did that's one heck of a magnet!

Now the investigator in me wants to know why in the world someone would take a magnet replace it with a chocolate bunny and thinks no one would notice. Even if your customs inspector/nosey mailperson was a Zelda fan and took the magnet, why not the hoop? Why not take the whole thing? And why on earth replace it with a chocolate bunny?

The world may never know. Though if it was me I would have called the post office and been like "Uh... why would someone put a chocolate bunny in my package that wasn't there when it was sent? Cause, yeah... that's creepy."

well I sent Bunnie Boo a hippo magnet and she got it. I think someone just decided to be a thief. I haven't had a weekday off work yet but this wednesday I'm going up to the post office to make a complaint.

I work at my local post office and my collegue said you can't send magnets in the post but I checked when I got home and saw that they mean really powerful magnets. To shut her up because she wouldn't listen to me I blacked out the magnet bit on the customs form but didn't open the package! I didn't use white tape, just normal clear sellotape. If it was customs wouldn't they have left a note to say if it was against regulations and also why leave a chocolate bunny? I think it is just one of those strange mysteries that will never be solved 

Anyway here is a picture of the missing magnet!


I am in the process of making something else for Whysteria (not a magnet me thinks this time!)

Bunnie boo, I don't know, you sent me a magnet in the last swap and I'm gonna assume it was the same type, so who knows, I think it musta been an mm fan and they thought no one would be the wiser since something was still delivered

There are also some heart containers filled with cinnamon sweets but they are being nommed on so forgot to take a picture!

Well, whatever happened - that magnet is AWESOME! Such a shame it didn't make it over seas BOO YOU POSTIE, BOOOO YOU.

On a positive note, MoonlitSun got a card saying she has a parcel waiting for her.. and it's probably mine! Fingers crossed the postie hasn't stolen anything and replaced it with mystery sweeties!!!! yeyeyeyeyeyeyey

Those kooks are awesome!!  I also like the yellow one, but they're all great!  And another package coming?! Yay!!  Now we're just waiting on mine to get to queenofmarigold, I think it should be early this week.....hopefully

Bunnie Boo......I'm so happy you like everything. I saw all the monsters and stuffies in your wists and in past swaps I knew you needed those koroks.  I didn't know how many I made but when I went to find fabric I found 3 different kinds....so I made 3.

Btw.....Leif made the boss key and magnets.
