i wanted to create a necklace based on my zipper bangles. i used the same construction as for my bangles..ie extruder scrap clay core shaped and baked then covered with cane slices to create both variations.
to attach the cord i drilled a hole (as deep as you dare, i try to aim for at least 1.5cm deep) about the same diameter as the cotton cord and glued the cord in place (i used uhu glue) once dried the glue holds up particularly well and is quite secure

for this necklace i made random squiggles and strung them but i think a better method would be to create to entire necklace shape then cut. this would make matching the squiggles easier and give a more uniform shape to the necklace when strung

as always comments or advice are more than welcome Smiley

These are great!  Very unusual.  I really like the colours in the second one - the pattern kinda makes my eyes go funny (in a good way!)  Smiley

I have lots of train tickets (I get the train most days), if anyone wants some for papercrafting just send me a PM Smiley
