Ignore the people that only joined to give you a hard time.  Your scarf is great and you should be proud! If we can't get inspiration from each other then crafting would be very boring.  =)

WhimsicallyObsessed what you did is amazing and you shouldn't have to defend  it. Many of us on Craftster create things inspired by copyrighted characters and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that (heck, welcome to my life as a cosplayer)! Frederator loves fan creations and Pendleton Ward posts fan art all the time on his blog.

Beemo is not owned by this person who made another version of the scarf. Them selling it could potentially leave them vulnerable to action by the studio themselves. Even if you did copy the scarf exactly somehow (which you clearly didn't), they have absolutely no right to attack you.

I love that you are going to share the pattern. Respect!!

ok guys I got an email on Etsy from the girl who made the scarf and she said she had nothing to do with it... She said that someone in her team jumped to her defense without her even wanting it... I reread my posts in reply to those people and felt kind of immature so I removed them... Its sad when people act like that but my knee jerk reaction wasnt any better... I mean I understand the sentiment that people shouldn't steal another persons copyright work from someone else to sell... Just isnt right. Though that this Isn't like that at all! I made this pattern myself because my swap partner's son really wanted one... I'm not selling it so if you want to have one you can always buy hers http://www.etsy.com/listing/91789882/crochet-beemo-from-adventure-time-scarf?ref=pr_shop  The lady really seemed really upset by this and assured me she wasnt the one posting and I assumed it so when a second person joined up and I was wrong. I'm sorry for that. I will have a pattern that I made for the swap up in my blog sometime soon since I said I would and in the spirit of sharing crafts with one another. It is as Frederator would like for the Adventure Time character fanart crafts
