...he could also double as Sean Connery.
Anyway, my boyfriend has been wanting me to make him something for his workplace, and when he loved the movie Midnight in Paris so much, I decided to stitch this quote (which he really loved from the movie)

(he doesn't have weird stains on his shirt, that's glare from the glass)
I drew the letters on gridded paper, and started out drawing Hemingway with the aid of the pic of
these lovely chibis, but he turned out far too short so I lengthened him a bit.

I ended up not making him quite like my drawing either, but he turned out pretty good looking! In spite of running out of my mystery gray thread for the shirt, and having to finish off with a different gray dmc thread, which isn't really the same color at all.

Now he's glaring out from his new home

(I don't know how the boyfriend intends to solve it once he gets his screens, but he says the mini wall partition can be moved, so maybe he'll figure something out

)
It's not Hemingway from the movies, because I wanted something more iconic, so I went with the famous turtleneck picture instead. And the final chibi is so nondescript, it could just as well be Sean Connery if you need to stitch one of those instead.
