hi..! My dad is helping me redo my whole room (yay)..and I'm going to have hard wood floors and everything. My parents don't like the idea of me painting all the walls any color but white. However,  they are allowing me to do something with the ceiling. I don't know what to paint or do with it. I was thinking of the whole blue ceiling and white clouds idea, but I want something different. SO, if anyone can give me any ideas for the ceiling that would be great =). thanks..!

I like the look of draped fabric on a ceiling, with white walls it could look very elegant.

I'd paint it deep blue and glue rinestones up there to look like stars.

How 'bout a combo of the two?  Paint 'em a deep blue (or maybe metallic blue glaze?)--- then string up some white lights (the kind that twinkle is really nice)- you could use masking tape to sting /em up)- then[\i] cover with billowy white fabric--- some guazy type stuff- or really cheap muslin would work well, too...  That way you get the best of both worlds- the high-end look of the 'tented' ceiling- and the mood lighting of the "starry night" effect...
A lot of work, but I think it'd be really cool!
