I create cute spool necklaces from three mini-wooden spools (3/4" long) and two smaller spools that are (1/2" long) that have been painted and slightly distressed. I love to recycle and re-purpose paper when I can. The designs decoupaged onto the spools come from magazines and catalogs. The design on this necklace is from a "Coach Poppy Perfume" advertisement. It is embellished with red fibers.

What a great idea!  I love the writing on the spools, as it is somewhat unexpected.
