I just looked up the tracking on my package to Mycutezombies and saw "Processed... San Antonio TX" WHAT? Oh yeah, I sent from my mom's house.  Scared me and now I feel stupid. I hate how they never update the tracking on international boxes.

On a similar note, the US government is seriously considering downsizing the Postal Service. Anyone else hear about this? The Senate passed their version of the bill and the House is supposed to take it up soon. The Senate's version would lay off 100,000 employees, shut down lots of POs, and cancel all Saturday delivery, thereby cutting back on $2.3 BILLION. Woah. I do keep saying the gov't needs to cut back on spending but it sucks when they cut back on something that I actually like. Really? No mail on Saturdays? That will make me sad.

Whew!  Just in time, I mailed mine this morning.  I was lucky to make it on time, a lot of stuff going on including organizing a major event for work tomorrow!

I made it to the post office at long last and mailed wendiek her package - Post Office has told me it would probably take about a week to reach its destination.  That would be pretty cool!  Now the anxious swap-anxiety waiting begins!

Now we both get to bite our nails and be impatiently waiting for the other to receive!

And our packages will probably arrive at the same time. It takes about a week longer for a package to arrive in the US! If I'm lucky yours will arrive early this week (aaah I do hope so) if not I haven't got any nails left
