Art Journal Page Swap - Send by April 2, 2012

You can select the size paper you like, the orientation of the art and whether you prefer single sheets or a folded two-page spread. Each swapper will list 5 - 10 themes and their swap partners will create 2 two-page sheets or spreads for the partners.

This is from the sign-up post/discussion thread. It is unclear. So sorry - I should have clarified this earlier.

Ok... so I interpreted it to mean that each had to be 2 pages, both sides... So one of my pages I did both sides and it's kinda *crunchy* but both sides are nice so it's going!
I will make the other one just single sided...
Thankfully, my partner is easy going and she's understanding of my noob status!
It's been fun though!

Here are the awesome pages I received from Smmarrt! I tinkered with the photos in PSP today to try and get them to look as vibrant and awesome as they do in real life.

One page for my ocean theme... I love the poem and the serene feeling!


And these two that are about creativitiy and making art! I love them!



I love the little details in the stamps, the sewing (I didn't even think of that!) and the bright colors! Thanks so much!


Also, Smmarrt, don't stress about the pages, the ones I sent you were small anyway and the ones I received were huge! I didn't realize that 8.5 x 11 was such a large size for art journalling.

Front and back is fine. jasminewolverine requested front-side only, so that's what I did. And for Idlers - I'll probably leave the backs plain but she can always stick the pages together - front to back.

I did front and back too! As a graphic designer a "page" is one side of a sheet of paper so 2 pages is one sheet, completed both sides....I hope my partner does not mind it being both sides

They are awesome pages, jasminewolverine, is the ocean page by smmarrt textured? Did you use bubblewrap printing smmarrt?...and we should make art everyday (something I am v.slack about)...my fave is the one above though. pioneer9's pages are fab too! I love the kittie one.

All my art journals are A4 (about the above size) and I am used to painting to larger sizes as well, so I found art journalling to a smaller size a challenge to say the least...once you have gone big, it's hard to go small again!

I received my pages today!!!
Awesome and greatly appreciated!

First off - a lovely fairy with an inspirational *reminder* Love this and it's hand drawn by the talented GoldenSunshine!



Next another fairy - a collage type with fairy on a background of trees. This one made me laugh out loud because of the expression on the fairy's face. lol!



Then came 2 pages based upon the Hunger Games books which I've enjoyed very much! The first has a great quote, "you never forget the face of the person who is your last hope." Great choice! I liked that line very much.
The second page has the MockingJay pin and the books.
These have room for me to add text or other tid-bits to!
Love it!
