Ok, just as long as you're aware and don't mind.  Smiley  The detergents used in the machine often have abrasives which is why these kinds of things get discolored/damaged.

I'm fine with discoloration, as long as it won't bend things weirdly so the machine gets damaged Smiley

Haha!! If they rust I'm so screwed! LOL I've been throwing almost everything into the dishwasher with my KitchenAid! I've had it for 5 years now and the only thing I noticed was a slight chip out of the enamel on my paddle attachment -- that may have happened from 'someone' dropping it, though.....*looks at husband*
