Black Denim Guatemalan Motorcycle Jacket

So I've been wanting to make a motorcycle jacket for SO long...I finally bought some black denim when the fabric store was having their 40% off sale.  Instead of keeping it classic, I used a Guatemalan tapestry to face the collar and patch the back.






I made the pattern from a 1960s motorcycle jacket I have...it's unlined, so it wasn't too hard.  Still gotta work out some issues with the sleeves, but next I'm thinking of using velvet floral tapestry as the facing. 
What do you guys think?

Normally I'd turn my nose up at things like that, those patterns make me think of rugs.... buuuut I totally adore this, it's such a nice shape and not overpowered by the patterns, it looks really well made too!... bet this would look good in a smaller version also (my rock/punk chic 5yr old would wear it to death!)

The shape of this is beautiful.  I love the contrast of the color on the black, very unique and baller amazing o' doom lol.
