Oh man. I hate this damn thing. Too be fair, it's not the quilt's fault; it's my fault for starting a project with absolutely no planning. It was inspired by Cluck Cluck Sew's raw edge circle quilt, but I did it a little differently because I kept skipping steps and a girl can only handle so much seam ripping.

approx 37"x31"

I'm so sick of pink and brown.

The friend I made it for also has a 4yr old girl so I made her some doll quilts as a big sister present.

approx 20"x15" each

This project was my first time doing applique, using a walking foot, using zig-zag stitch on curves, and my first attempt using a free motion foot which did not go well but I promise I will practice on less important projects until I get it. I can not f'n wait to pack this thing in a box and get it out of my apartment. In fact, it's being shipped out of my state so that's even better!

I know how you feel. I've had projects that I couldn't wait to see that last of. However, it's a very cute quilt and I'm sure it will be well loved in its new home.

A few years ago I agreed to make a queen sized quilt for my sister-in-law to celebrate their 25th anniversary.  We went shopping so she could buy the fabric and by the time we were done I'd come to regret the project.  Her fabric choices were the WORST combination of this that and the other - virtually all ugly!  And hey, you can keep any leftovers for your stash! Undecided  I did add 2 decent fabrics for sashing and borders to pull it all together.

It took me 2 years to force myself to finish the top.

Lol JeanC I put the scraps in a tote so I won't have to look at them every time I dig through my stash. It's hard to work on a project when the fabrics aren't your style.
