Details of swap:

Have you ever wanted to swap for all the crafts you’ve been lusting over – but can’t make yourself?  This swap’s for you!  For the craftsters who can knit, but can’t sew, can bead, but can’t papercut, can do polymer clay, but can’t stencil… gather round!

For this swap, you need to list the crafts you’re good at and the crafts you’d like to swap for.  PLEASE list as many in each group as you can, because this is going to be a very complicated parternering process, and the more information I have, the easier it will be – and the better your partners will be matched!  For each category of craft you’d like to receive, provide three examples or hints of crafts you’ve liked, in addition to your questionnaire answers.  I highly encourage further communication and stalking between partners, but this will at least give your partner a jumping point to go from.  You are welcome to make this exact craft for your partner, but you are also welcome to take it as inspiration to plan a new craft from based on their tastes.

Due to the nature of the swap, please don’t decide to “try to learn a new craft” for this swap.  This is about working with crafts we’re already skilled with.

To be explicitly clear, newbie swappers are welcome on this swap, but you must fulfill all of the swapper conditions.

This swap will be a FIVE POINT SWAP.  At least one of these crafts must be a medium or a large; you cannot send five smalls.  (For example, you could swap 1 large, 1 medium, or 1 medium, 3 smalls, or 1 large, 2 smalls.)

Points: Large - 3, Medium - 2, Small - 1

Swap size guidelines:
This is a guideline ONLY: a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost:

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

By Size
-Large = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Large = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less

This is an intriguing swap. Ive always really admired people who can knit but I dont wear scarves, gloves or hats really. So I dont know what they could knit for me. Im also really jealous of people who can draw. I'll have to keep an eye on this swap.

I'm keeping my eye on this swap, too. The thing is, there's really only one thing  I really really really want and admittedly can't do (Knitted Kitty stuffies from my Pinterest). I'm sure there are lots of things I can't do, but I'm still under the illusion that I'll succeed if I try, I just haven't yet... thus I will wait and do it myself.

I'm good at quilting, sewing accessories/other, beading, and fiber arts. If there are any knitters on here that think they might be able to make my kitties & are interested in what I can make, plz msg. me and talk me into signing up Smiley (though I will continue to thnk on it & watch this post)

This swap is perfect for me.  I have to wait for feedback on my first swap, and I'll be ready to go.

Awesome!  We've already got three swappers, and I'm looking forward to more!

Exactly!  I'd been considering trying my hand at organizing for a while; your swap sounded like so much fun, and it didn't look like anyone was available in the near future to do it, so it was perfect timing!

Oooh, yeah, that is specific.  I'd offer myself, but unfortunately, knitting/crocheting are the two biggest crafts I'm listing on my 'can't do' section... However, I heartily encourage anyone who can knit to speak up, because the more crafters, the merrier, and this swap is all about getting That Thing You Always Wanted.  Cheesy

Those kitties are cute!  And prob not too hard to make --
you do realize they are only about 4 in. tall, right?

I'm a knitter, and still pondering this swap....

kayrun: really?! I thought they were bigger than that. Well, I love kitties, so really ... sigh.

I probably will sign up, just I need to ponder the questionnaire a bit. Try and find a few things that I can admit I probably won't ever get around to doing myself. lol.

It would be easy to make them bigger though... use bigger yarn, add some rounds.

I really want handmade soap or fiber to spin. Smiley I'm hoping someone wants handspun yarn because I'm really into spinning right now but I can also knit/crochet, cross-stitch/embroider, and sew.
