This is the second bag I have made, as I am somewhat new to sewing!
I love a huge bag as I require (as most crafters do) plenty of art supplies and books on the go.

I just flipped a home made bag I got at a thrift store years ago inside out and used my brain for the rest!

I used a fabric button press to make the red buttons on the pocket, which match the lining fabric. The yellow vintage button seems to be made for this bag with its blue circle outline!
There are pockets inside which match the outside fabric. All pockets are lined with opposing fabrics.

I am happy to join crafster as I have been getting inspiration from here for some time now!!

that's so cute!  I like the contrast between the outside and the lining.

I like the idea of using household fabrics for totes!

So many times old curtains, bed linens, tablecloths, etc. just get tossed!

Cut them up for totes, fabric bowls, etc.

Lovely to have an outside pocket as well!

It really is true, and the thing about the tablecloths and bed linens is that it is a TON of fabric. I am constantly looking for these items at thrift stores to use as fabric instead of buying things new.

Thank you! Its one I had been saving for something good.

Thank you very much!
