My name is Christy and I am in the Milford area and just found this site.  Seems to be interesting but no one has posted in the Southwest, Ohio forum since last year.  So if anyone is from the Southwest area and your still here, let me know Smiley
I work at the Michaels in Colerain as the Scrapbook Instructor there...would love to meet some more local crafters!

Can crafters from this area get together to share ideas? It would be fun just to get together with other crafty people  Into all kinds of crafts and would like to share ideas.  I live in Georgetown, so close to Milford!

I'm between Dayton & Cinci... so not that far off, however I find it difficult to hook up with fellow crafters & juggle being a full time mom. There are a couple of Ohio teams on etsy that I'm a member of & they do have monthly get togethers & team meetings.  Wink

I had to look up Cheviot on a map because I wasn't familiar with it. We get local Cinci news & weather, but I didnt' recall it mentioned in the forecasts. Funny you're not that far away. Is it a small town?

Well it is now 2014 and you asked this question last year.  I just found this site today.  Reading the comments there are several members spread around the area- I live in Sprinfield township AKA known in our area as Finneytown (but there is no town - that is just the name of the schools.  If you still don't know where it is we mhave Cinnati to the south, Wyoming- East, Greenhills- North and Colerain -West.  I just got into crafting and going to shows this year.  I would love to have someone supply names of good shows that the fee is less than $100.  I make jewelry, scarves -Infinity, long scarves and square scarves.  Baby Bonnets called the magic Hanky  (it starts out as a beautiful linnen lace trimmed hankie, With just a few stitches it becomes a baby bonnet and is provided with a poem about starting out as a simple hankie worn home from the hospital or on Baptismor christening day.  It is then put away and pulled out for that childs wedding day - remove the stitching - primarily 3 areas with a few stitches.  Iron it and it is the brides hanky for the wedding and if it was worn by a boy it becomes a gift to his bride.)  I have burp clothes, lap pads, key fobs, purses and different holiday specific items.  Every time I think I should stop selling a certain item - that is when the sale picks up.  Do other people do multiple crafts or do most specialize?
Love this site and hope to meet some of you that I eill see at shows this year.  Janet3g
