I found 3 of these circular pieces of glass in some light fixtures we were trashing, and they were too cool to let go to waste. Then I found this old french book page at a local antique store and I just thought it was perfect. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. My boyfriend was even so sweet as to say it looked "professional," which honestly isn't saying much from him  Roll Eyes But as long as he (and I) liked it, that's good enough for me!

It looks really cool. I love the text behind the glass.

Thanks! I was glad to find French paper so that the words wouldn't really matter, but now I'm kind of curious! It's the times that you don't check what the words mean that end up having something offensive or funny when it's translated.

Yea, you do need to be careful - I made a pendant from a Japanese newspaper and glued the paper onto the pendant before I realized that it had a word in English in the middle of it that did not exactly go with the pretty floral paper on the pendant...  Shocked

But, the pendant you made is very cute! Is the cord braided leather?

It's braided cord kind of like hemp. It was the only thing I had that even remotely matched because apparently we have no chain in that shiny goldish/copper color >.<
