My first craftster post, hope I am doing this right! I am so happy with how these shoes turned out! I was looking for a funky pair of spring shoes and came across plain black canvas shoes at Wal-Mart for $8.50.

I had a bunch of old fabric paints kicking around and decided that I would try painting them myself. The paints are water proof and in little squeezy bottles. I squirted them onto a pallette and used artist brushes (aka least expensive brushes at Michaels). The shoes are not sitting flat it the pictures because I have size 11 feet and the largest size available at Wal-Mart was a 10, so I got them wet and stretched them out first. It took me about an hour to paint these and I really like how they turned out, but next time I think I will start with a plan. They seem to be wearing well for the last few days, none of the paint has come off yet and we have had some wet weather.

Thanks for looking!!!
