I've been on a major dyeing binge this week, as I have become obsessed with making t-shirt yarn ($.45 for 35 yards? SOLD.) Is there a method anyone uses to dry appropriate yarn in the dryer without it becoming a tangled mess? Considered a garment bag, but didn't want to risk it until I got some advice. Nothing puts a damper on a yarn binge like untangling 4 skeins of wet cotton....

If it's t-shirt yarn, how about dying it before turning the tshirt into yarn?

Otherwise I probably wouldn't put it in the dryer, but leave it in a skein on top of a radiator (I know that only works for cold weather though).

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

I like hand-dyeing the white tshirts after I've made them into yarn, only because I get to see how the color plays out more. I'm thinking I might try putting the tied skeins in a pillowcase....

i've seen people put skeins of red heart super saver into lingerie bags then into the wash to soften them. probably if your skeins were tied in a few different places it would work for you too. Cheesy
