Hello there! I've got another little question. I recently learned what a lucet is, and it's main use is to knit cording. Does anyone know if perhaps, bigger or thicker things can be made with a lucet?

Hiya,

You can re-braid lucet cord more than once.  For example, here, I've braided cotton string, and pink Double Knit yarn.  You can see - at least on the string one - the size of the yarn I started with (with a bobbin of cotton for scale) and then it moves into once-braided, before being twice braided.

Depending on the thickness of the yarn you start with, you can potentially rebraid as many times as your hands will cope with!  I shouldn't think you'd get more than three or four times unless you were using thread though, as it is a lot harder on your hands.

But both these are fairly chunky as they are!  And they are definitely more sturdy.

Does that help any?
