Here is where I borrowed the picture http://milnersblog.wordpress.com/2012/01/03/1980s-90s-film-alphabet/

Evidently it's a quiz and I'm not very good at it.

A
B
C Coming to America
D Dirty Dancing
E E.T.
F Flight of the Navigator
G Ghostbusters
H Honey I Shrunk the Kids
I Indiana Jones
J Jump and Jack Flash
K Karate Kid
L Labyrinth
M
N Nightmare Before Elm Street
O
P Princess Bride
Q
R Rambo
S Short Circuit
T Teen Wolf
U
V
W
X
Y
Z

I welcome any help!

A is Airplane
B is Back to the Future
O is Octopussy
U is The Untouchables
W is Weird Science
X is Xanadu
Y is Youngblood

And, I'll confess, I could tell the last picture was Woody Allen, but I racked my brains and couldn't think of a Z film by him, so I googled it... it's something called Zelig, apparently a mockumentary with him and Mia Farrow.

No idea on the others, though.  Smiley

Given a cape, tiara and a strong cup of coffee, yeah, I could rule the world.

I've received my awesome package from thefett!  All the way from Canada.  I'm pretty sure this package got here in record time.  In fact it left the same day as a package shipped from within Illinois and that one is still not here and apparently had to leave the state to be sorted.  Whatever.  Anyway... without further ado, my 80's awesomeness... y'all are gonna be so jealous!

The package arrived looking something like this:

What could it be?  You might be asking yourselves.  I knew with much anticipation, however, since thefett and I had decided ahead of time on one large each and had pre-arranged.  It was...

A Light Saber!

And, just so I'm fully embarrassed, here is the requisite action shot for an awesome item such as this:

Yep.  We took it in the dark so you could get the full effect of the glow.  It's awesome.  I'm the least jedi-like jedi in the universe.  I'll need to practice my skills.  The BF laughed until he cried the afternoon when I was practicing my "moves."  Fortunately, I have no shame!  Smiley

Next, the surprise piece.  Thefett and I both love The Princess Bride, so he DREW this amazing piece:

It's Miracle Max and Valerie!  "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife!"  Seriously my favorite part of that whole movie!  "Bye bye boys, have fun storming the castle!"  And does thefett have serious skills, or what!?  This is totally amazing.  I'm pretty sure I have a frame laying around that will be perfect for it, so I'll try to take a better picture of it tomorrow if the frame fits.  Smiley

Finally, a fun extra:

Magnets with some of my favorite movies and characters... John Cusak from Say Anything, Ali Sheedy from The Breakfast Club, Goonies, the six fingered man, Molly Ringwald from 16 Candles, and of course Darth Vader.

Thanks so much thefett, you totally nailed it!

Haha!  It's always the red vest that gives it away! Plus, my friend dressed up like Marty McFly for Halloween one year, so it's always one of those that I can picture without hesitation!

Great job thefett. I can't believe you built a lightsaber! How did you built a lightsaber because I want to make one for my husband now? That's awesome and beautiful sketch too. The scenes with Miracle Max and his wife are my favorites too! "Chocolate coating makes it go down easier!"
