I got mine in.  I'm excited!  Any notion on when we will start hearing whether or not we've made various cuts?

That was why I was really curious about other people's experiences.  I submitted my pattern on the deadline and would love a "received" type e-mail.  But, according to the website, it looks like we can just expect to hear two weeks before publication date.  That means nearly September!  Such torture.

You should get the auto-response within minutes of submitting, so that at least you know they got it.  While I didn't hear until almost two weeks before the deadline, I think they mean it when they say that they'll let you know as soon as possible if your design ISN'T going to make it.  In other words, they inform people as soon as their designs are weeded out.

So Loth, the first thing you heard (other than autoreply) was the two-weeks-before deadline rejection?

I have always submitted a bit backwards. Emailing in a sketch/swatch pic and specs on what I want to submit. Amy is great about getting back to you for she has The Eye. Some things have been stopped before starting (saves time no?) and others encouraged. Waiting for the rejection/acceptance email would be torture I tell ya! And, knowing that chances are good makes a difference while hammering out the math details and getting the design to completion. Good luck to all of you! Always look forward to seeing new designers out there.

Oh no!  I never got an auto-reply message.  I checked, and my Outlook shows no errors and shows that it sent.  I've got to contact them now.  Shoot.

eep... I'm sure they'll be understanding... have you checked your spam/ junkmail... auto responses can trigger and get stopped by spam filters.

Yes, Mel, I never heard from them until two weeks before the deadline.  And it was almost unbearable.  Cheesy
