Last night was a busy night. Amongst my many endeavours were these cute shirts for a friend's daughters.
These are entirely based off a shirt that I made for my son, which in turn was based off some image I saw floating around the net long ago.
When she saw the shirt on DS, she lost her mind, going on about how cute it was, and what an important message it was. She asked if I could make some for her girls, who are 5 & 6. I got their sizes, and wanted to get these done right away, as they are only in town for March Break.

Cheap white kids T's from Wal-Mart, some hot pink glow in the dark dimensional fabric paint, and blue & green eco-eflt (made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles). A small amount of patience & sewing, followed by some quick painting & drying time.

What do you think? I have my hubby asking if I could mass-produce these (which I definitely think I could), an order for a man's XL & a set to be made for a co-worker's twin neices.

thanks, susanb!

No, the earth is made from a blue felt circle, and the green is free-handed & stitched on, then the whole thing sewn to the shirt. The letters were painted, but no stencil there, either.

What a cute idea and an awesome message!!! It would be great if you could whip a bunch up for the upcoming Earth Day! Maybe you could sell them at a local festival for it?!  I think the idea of your husband having one would be cute too, but he and your son should wear them together and his should read...I'm saving some for him (maybe with a diagonal arrow pointing down to your son)! Just a thought! Regardless, very creative and cool message!
