I love the Bertrum Pictures!  He looks like he had way too much fun!

Those skirts are ~Ah.MAZE.Ing~ Smeddley!   Charlie looks like he had a blast.

I have been a complete slacker about posting pictures with Dee... It has been a roller-coaster couple of weeks since the wedding/cruise.  Sickness, last week of kindergarten, and tons and tons of rain have made me a lazy hostess...

But I will be taking Dee and the kids out for a while either today or tomorrow...the rain has made us all quite full of cabin fever.

We went to dinner at my favorite restaurant for my birthday- Maggiano's in Tampa.  We only go for birthdays, because it is Super Expensive- around $30 per person then drinks.  But...that does get you a "family style" Italian meal including dessert.  It's two appetizers, two salads, four entrees, and two desserts- all are "all you can eat" and they let you bring 'leftovers" home...and for them a leftover is "it was at your table- take it home".

No pictures during eating, because I was way too busy stuffing my face and groaning from the pain, but I have pictures of the "leftovers" and Dee.

Yes, that is SEVEN boxes of leftovers, plus three boxes of dessert.

Dee was poking around, trying to decide what she wanted to nibble on this early in the morning... I think we both have decided that it's a little early for cheesecake, but the apple crostini is pastry and apple, so it's Kind Of Like a Breakfast Item...She is going to have to eat it on her own though, because I am still full!

I took Monty and my daughter to Touch a Truck today--and remembered to take pictures of both of them Smiley

Not much going on around here. It's rained for like a week straight. (Which is weird but good; we've been in terrible drought conditions.) When it's not raining, it's stupidly hot. It was feels-like 100F/38C yesterday. That's hot.

I've been playing around with my new camera. (Got it for my birthday last month.) Some pretty shots from last night here if you're curious. Carlisle's been trying to keep cool in the Florida heat so mainly, we've been hiding indoors. Turns out penguins like a/c. Wink

I haven't done much... Three work days left and then vacation! I did buy some supplies for the album and have been making plans to modify and make it prettier. I don't have any printed photos yet, but still...

Also: penguins are awesome.

Note for anyone going to Melbourne Zoo: the map they give you is crazy! All roads lead to penguins! You follow the map to get to the lions- penguins. You follow the map to get to the reptiles- penguins. So don't trust the map, unless you are desperate to see loads of penguins.

that is too funny.

Indeed! I think I'm going to try to work "All roads lead to penguins" into a conversation today.  Grin

Hehee you are all cracking me up!

Side note, I need to make an unexpected trip to the mainland this week for my grandpa's funeral, so in the chaos, I will try to remember to bring Aurora and she can see Wisconsin too!

We did end up taking Lulu out for a bit over the weekend.  There aren't many pictures, but I'll try to get them posted this week.  And she is now officially in Wisconsin, so I should be updating with those pictures as the OH sends them to me.  We're predicting that Lulu's viking instincts may kick in and he'll have to keep an eye on her so she doesn't kill any cows for food.

Sunday we visited a farm fair in a village nearby and Trevor had a lot of fun!
When we arrived at the railway station we already could see a bit of the fair:

The kids did some fishing to find little fishes and other water creatures

And then studied them with magnifying glasses

Then some playing in the hay stack

We also ate "poffertjes", small fluffy pancake like treats served with butter and sugar, but that was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures ;-) but we'll eat more this summer....

Thursday I'll be in the "Institut franais" in Amsterdam, to grade French official exams and of course Trevor will come too.
