Our oven has been broken for almost two years, and I was craving cinnamon rolls, which I never eat...but my mom had gotten one from Tim Horton's  (shakes first at mother for giving me naughty cravings) and I wanted to make a raw version, but it turned into a cream-filled mini cake type of thing and better than I expected. Smiley It ended up being a cold dessert and very delicious. I still would like to make a raw cinnamon roll heated in a dehydrator next though. Wink

Ingredients for Cake Mixture

2 cups almond meal (ground raw almonds)
1 cup raisins (or a mix of raisins & pitted dates)
2 tbs orange juice (optional)
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract (or vanilla powder)

Instructions: http://calmmindbusybody.com/raw-cream-cake/ (Shows how to make Vanilla Cream & Chocolate Frosting.. all raw!)

I just had one with some coffee. They are dense and full of flavour, so a small serving is more than satisfying, which is what I like about most raw desserts... I can't really over eat them as they aren't fluffy and airy like a timbit, in which I could eat way too many :s

Oh mah gad, now I'm craving a cruller. I blame my mom once again.

Looks delish.  I admire you going the raw route.  I'd like to try it myself one day.

Thanks Smiley And yeah, I just generally feel better when I keep my raw food intake high. And like I mentioned in my post, even though a lot of the ingredients are dense/high calorie with healthy fats, I am way less likely to over eat a dense piece of raw chocolate than I am with a fluffy donut or pastry.

I do recommend giving it a try...it's very satisfying and nice to bite into something that only has whole foods and no chemicals or preservatives and you can generally count all the ingredients on one hand.
