Made these hats for my partner in the WoW swap. Both used variations on The Improv Hat pattern here. Her fiance is a big Alliance fan so his incorporated this Alliance chart, and my partner is about as much into Druids as I am so I came up with a druid symbol pattern for hers. This was my first venture into the world of intarsia knitting, and after resolving a few newbie mistakes, they turned out a lot better than I was expecting. Probably my biggest mistake though had nothing to do with learning intarsia, and everything to do with not bothering to knit up a gauge swatch. Let's just say I'm not making that mistake again, and I'm very lucky to have found a way to fix that "minor" problem. Overall they managed to turn out pretty well I thought, and they were very soft and thick which will hopefully be good for northern winters.
