So I've never really done any quilting before. I had all this awesome fabric and was in need of a tea cozy. I had a book with a basic pattern and modified it.

Here is the first side, which was a simplification of the basic pattern:


And here is the other side, which I designed myself - the patches in the skull area are one inch square.


And finally, the cozy in action!


This was all hand sewing, by the way, as there was nowhere to set up my machine (not to mention that my machine skills are...optimistic novice, shall we say?). I used a neon green thread for the actual quilting, which of course only shows when really close up. I learned tons, and perhaps someday I'll tackle something a little larger...
