:( My glitter is peeling off of my shoes!!

So, I've seen all the "glitter your shoes" tutorials floating around pinterest, and I had a pair of leatherette wedges that I never wore (due to damage)... One thing led to another... I sanded, mod-podged, glittered, and sealed, but the very first time I wore them, the glitter peeled off in chunks right by wear the shoe bends when you step. So, I re-sanded, re-glittered...You get the idea.

Still, though, the glitter is peeling off!

Any advice?

this happened to mine last night!! I came here with the exact same question. How many layers did you put on?

I put on three layers

Hmm, I used plain old white glue to glitter some platform heels and aside from an oops while peeling the masking tape off, it seemed fine. Mind you, I did seal it with 2 coats of spray acrylic lacquer, but I also only glittered the soles...

My best guess is that your glue is not flexible enough to deal with the bending and flexing of the shoe. Maybe a rubber cement, or even a spray glue is better suited to that particular part of the shoe.
