So I have a copy of van Gogh's Starry Starry Night on paper that I wanted to mount onto a stretched canvas and then paint over. I got out the mod podge, slathered it on the canvas, patted the picture down and then proceeded to apply more mod podge but it warped and wrinkled like crazy. I've not used mod podge all that much but I thought this would be the ideal project for it.

My question is: what would you use for this project?

With paper I'd suggest using a thin layer of mod podge on the canvas and using care to avoid air bubbles and wrinkles when laying down the paper to be adhered. Once that layer was dry, then add another layer on top.

As you sew, so shall you rip. Don't fear the ripper.
