Here it is, my first ever challenge entry.  It is a reversible bracelet which is supposed to resemble the candy bracelets kids wear.  I painted wood hearts to resemble conversation hearts and wrote sweet messages on one side and not-so-sweet messages on the reverse side.  Here is the sweet side:

And here is the bitter side:

I wish I hadn't waited until the last minute to do it, because it didn't really work out the way I wanted it to, but I didn't have time to do anything about it.  Ideally, I would have strung just the hearts (no spacers) on elastic to most closely resemble the candy bracelets.  However, I made one heart in each of the colors the candies come in (at least, the colors I found in the brand of candy hearts I had) and I thought that would be big enough to fit around my wrist.  When it turned out that the seven hearts weren't long enough, my choices were to duplicate one of the colors I had already used, to make up another color that wasn't based on the candy hearts, or add spacers.  Adding spacers was the quickest solution, although I didn't really like any of the options at that point.  Then it turned out that the tiny holes in the hearts weren't big enough for elastic, so I had to use the tiger tail and clasp.  At this point it really doesn't resemble candy jewelry, but I still think it's kind of fun anyway.

I love it.  I like that it has the spacers to give it a little bling and look like a 'grown-up' candy bracelet.

Love this, such a cool idea! Don't worry about the spacers, it looks really good. The bitter side is very funny.

I agree! "Drop Dead" might be my favorite.  Wink

What a totally cute idea! I really laughed at the snarky ones, especially "as if!", as that is one of those phrases that was really abused in my childhood.

I would love to do a personal swap for stuff for my lonely, empty walls!

Thanks for all the positive comments!  I am stunned that a few people have actually voted for my entry.  I think I did a pretty good job with the opposites theme, but all the other entrants definitely put in a lot more effort on their projects.  I couldn't even vote for myself out of guilt! Smiley
