I have been wanting to do something like this for some time now, and have finally sat down to get it done.
I am not totally done with these yet.  I want to paint the frames.  I was thinking black to keep them simple
and they would still match my crazy colorful decor with out adding to the craziness.

What I did was pick out some matching scrapbook paper from my stash... traced the outline on each of them,
I used my needle to poke holes in the paper evenly and then stitched them in.  I even put little hearts over the
area where we live/will live.  I'm happy with how they turned out.  I can't wait to paint the frames and get them
hung up.

There is some detail in the paper on the Nebraska one that is hard to see in the photo, but it's nice.

I was thinking of adding the years in one of the corners for how long we will be at each place.
And I was also thinking of doing Kentucky, and putting "Home" in a corner..... thoughts on that idea?

I like that idea too, so far we have only been in VA but consider NC home, dates would be cool and if anything a reminder of where you have been and where home will always be for you. Smiley

The only reason we are in Cali right now is because his Tech School is like 13 months long!  Thankfully he
graduates in a few weeks.  I'm so tired of this weather.  I can't freaking wait to get to Nebraska.  Partially
because is is so much closer to home too!

Thanks.  My house is pretty colorful.  Reds, Yellows, Turquoise.  I figured the toned down grays would keep
them looking classy, and still go well with the decor.  I still have yet to paint the frames, but I have them
displayed on a book case.  They have grown on me, and I'm not even real sure I want to paint the frames
anymore.

Ohh, and I'm super proud of my Hubby.  Still has a bunch of training to do.  He has to be smart and get a
freaking awesome awesome job, so we have close to 26 months of training.  He'll be happy when he gets
to actually do his job instead of train for it! lol

The States are California, and Nebraska.  So, no.  It's not Pensacola.
