i've been planning to do a stylized photo shoot with a friend of mine, and with that came a whole bunch of planning.  she needed shoes, so i cruised the thrift stores until i found something worth using, and then went to town using my favorite glitter paint brand (folk art extreme glitter by plaid) and went to down painting these shoes.
5 coats each later, they are perfection!  the shoot still has yet to happen, but these shoes are fabulous!  if they were my size (and if i wasn't already a giant) i would rock them for a night on the town!

love them!

I love the glitter paint, it seems easier and cleaner than the coat with glue and glitter that is the most common way of re-doing shoes.

Also, I'm 6'1 and I wear 5" heels to school on a regular basis. I like them, so I wear them. And if my nickname is "Amazon" So be it!

Love the shoes!!!  I'm going to have to pick up some of that!  Working with the loose glitter is annoying, though it looks nice and is fairly cheap - it's not the best for shoes from what I've found.

I'm not very tall, 5"7", but am taller than my husband and most of his family.  I was recently chastised for wearing 7" heels to a family affair because I'm "tall enough already"  Roll Eyes  Hubby didn't mind, left his head at a 'comfortable' level to my chest for dancing LOL  Grin  Embrace the tall and show off the long legs that others wish they had  Wink

Love those! I especially love that you kept the heel black. It adds so much more drama to them Smiley
