Copper Etching, questions

Good afternoon everyone!

I've got an idea, I'm pretty sure I can make it work, but I'm going to ask for some feedback first if anyone has done something like this before.
Firstly I'm planning on using this instructable for doing the etchant, and likely wax as a resist.
Also this guy's tutorial is absolutely awesome and involves electricity.
So, any points, notes, ideas, etc?

All this done with a battery charger and copper sulfate (it's in the plumbing section named as root kill or the like.

Now doing electroforming too!

I discovered that Rustoleum carries a galvanizing compound, this stuff is mostly zinc and nicely conductive, test pieces came out very nicely. Going to tweak my copper plating mix and do some more pictures when I have something I feel is presentable.

I really want to try etching that way ! Right now I just use the etchant at Radio shack .

Depending on your comfort level with technical stuff you can use an old computer power supply for doing your plating/etching work as well, they run low amperage and either 6 or 12 volts depending on what leads from the supply you are using. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help.
