Wow! That's a great, big wonderful package from Smmarrt! So many delicious snacks!  So many crafty goodies! Both monster pouches are fabulous and interesting! I can see why BirdBones' bf wants to steal the little silver one!  I can't wait to find out what's funny about the pencil pouch monster.

Today I received a package from my swap-along partner, Photochris in Russia!!  She is actually German, and she happened to be travelling to Germany just after finishing my monster pouch, so she mailed it from Germany.  It was mailed on March 23rd, so it only took 6 days to get to me in Virginia.  I mailed hers on March 6th, and it has not yet reached her in Russia.  (We were both interested to see how long the mail would take to get to Russia).

Here's what I got:  a cute little mustache-d monster!  In her note she included a picture of the beautiful snowy view from her parent's window.  I got some cool stamps on the envelope, too!

I opened the monster to discover that he is an art pouch, with narrow pockets to organize pens and pencils, or brushes, or polymer clay tools.  (I've GOT to get some poly clay tools!!  Right now I use a dinner knife and a toothpick!!).  The little boot is a fridge magnet souvenir of Russia.  She says these boots are old fashioned, but still popular in Russia.

I loaded up the pouch with my drawing pencils, and as you can see, it works great!  I love the fabric!

Thank you so much, Christiane, I love my new pouch!  I enjoyed swapping with you, and I hope my package reaches you...someday...!

Cheesy  I love the pouch from Russia (via Germany) - Very clever mustached pouch - I love the way he rolls up from the side - I like the way the eyes are positioned on the edge!!!  So cute!  Looks like a great package from a faraway land (faraway to me anyway!).  Very nice!!    Smiley

I received from lukenlarry today. All nicely packaged up and small enough to fit through my mailbox which meant I wasn't subjected to the postal delivery office's weird opening times.

Inside there was a bundle of stuff all wrapped in fabric and tied up with a ribbon

First of all this cute monster.

He is made from fabrics with lots of interesting textures. His back is spotty but textured spotty rather than coloured if that makes sense but I wasn't able to capture it in a photo .

Inside his mouth he was hiding more cool stuff

Candy, some of which may not be pictured because I may have eaten it already :-) and including peanut buttery goodness. A cute little owl and a lovely turtle again made with lovely textured fabrics.

All in all a great package

And now I'm off for a coffee and to eat some of that candy, been waiting all day as I wasn't able to take photos before now!

Great package, lukenlarry!  I love the striped monster (the ears make it look almost cat-like!), and the turle and owl are so cute!

So Cool!!   Cool    I am really liking that monster from lukenlarry - and the turtle and the owl - nice stuff all of it!!  I really am impressed with the simple design of the monster, and the pretty blue and red on the brown - he looks all soft and cuddly!  I also like his ears and hair, and of course the ZIPPER MOUTH!!   Cheesy
